Window Tinting in Winston-Salem News & Tips

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DYED FILM AND CERAMIC WINDOW TINT?

Dyed window film has long been the traditional option for tinting windows on vehicles, homes and businesses. These products are still applied to windows today. New technology has opened the door to new types of window tint. Car owners now have the option of ceramic window tint instead of a standard dyed product. There’s a big difference between ceramic tint and traditional dyed tint. The ability of dyed film to block UV rays and infrared light is less versus ceramic film. Ceramic film not only blocks the majority of UV rays and infrared light but can also reduce heat up to 85% in some cases. The benefits of ceramic film are also the same for any percentage of tint-whether you choose 5%, 20%, 35% or 50% tint. This is advantageous for folks who don’t want a super dark look but would prefer to have all the benefits that a darker percentage gives you. At Sabulski Window Tinting, the choice is yours for a more economical product like a dyed tint or a newer technology with a longer lifespan like ceramic film. We provide both tint options and come to you for your tinting needs in Davie County, Mocksville, Lexington, Clemmons, Winston-Salem and beyond!
